Failure
Failure is a wonderful instructor. Failure teaches me so much more clearly than success.
Failure is supposed to happen. All things fall apart, it’s scientific. The 2nd law of thermodynamics says there is a natural tendency of any isolated system to degenerate into a more disordered state.
There are many more ways to fail than succeed. Success is very limited, fleeting, and why we crave it so much.
What failure shows us is our true passions. Persistence in the face of failure is fuel by a passion for the enterprise. When we fail at something we don’t like, we tend to abandon it. When we fail at sometime we do like, we tend to persist and find ways to succeed. This is what is meant by success is advancing from one failure to the next without a loss of enthusiasm.
It’s worth remembering winning is usually built on the foundation of failure. The heartbreaking loss. That crushing defeat. It hurts in the moment. But it’s a future victory in disguise. Failure teaches. Failure transforms. Embrace today’s failure. Use it to mold you into tomorrow’s winner.
